Anyone who knows me would know that since whenever they know, I have been Catholic. In my ID card is also included that my religion is Catholic. But, in fact in the history of my life, I never chose Catholicism as my religion. That fact, I was Catholic because I was baptized as an infant. Both my parents who decided that I should bear the name of a beautiful Santa and Catholics became my religion.
I often ask myself: what could happen? If I ask the Father or the experts in the course will be taken immediately following Bible verse: You did not choose Me, but I chose you (John 15:16). I've also received shipments of this sentence: God has already chosen your path even before you were born in the world (unfortunately, there forgot what part).
Before marriage, My father was a Muslim from a Muslim family. Similarly, my mother families (some Muslims and some Christians). They covered their own way of life, since they are born until adulthood. Until one day they come face to face to form a family. And through a long process they became Catholic. Not only are Catholics, they also became a teacher of Catholic religion lessons in school and be in the Church Catechism. Of course, it happened after a long road and winding. I myself could not believe when they hear his story. Unfortunately I'm not going to tell her story here ... because this post ... I'm the main role ;)
If so chronological, that I should believe that God himself who chose me. At first, God chose my parents, and then picked me. God had decided that I will present the world through a spouse and father (deceased) mother. There's nothing more worthy of doubt, right?
Then why am I still a Catholic adults up to now? There's no law that prohibits if I was interested, wanted to learn, then move to another religion, is not it? This is the point! Maybe because God has chosen me, it seemed there was no point for me to leave. It is possible that God has bound me in a way that I could not escape. Since childhood I was interested in all sorts of things Catholic flavorful. Sunday School with songs and stories exclaimed; roles in Christmas theater - from minor roles to the highest role as Mother of Jesus (haha.. Sorry, this is only the pride of the past) also a joyful adolescence with all the activities of Catholic Youth (choir, camping, sport, or a simply gathering). Then I got a job teaching the kids to Sunday School for many years. All schools are taught from kindergarten to university is also a Catholic school with all its uniqueness.
Now as an adult my activities with fellow believers not intensively like first. But still, there has never been a speck of interest let alone the desire to leave my religion. Maybe in my journey, through millions of joy and sorrow, that the Catholic faith and grow stronger roots. I do not know it was just my analysis. Because I will not know since when and how I decided that I would still be a Catholic.
But that certainly ... of the many things in Catholicism, one of the most interesting thing for me is LOVE. Any good deeds if you do it without love, it means nothing. In fact very difficult to do. I still often bring relief with a selfless or do something to grumble. So for me it is amazing LOVE GOD through Jesus who was crucified to die really happened.
Despite the fact that being a Catholic is not easy. Especially in times in the highest difficulty in the life as human. Because often times the human side wants to reach all the happiness offered by this world. At that time, I always ask the help of Our Lady of prayer so that I could imitate Her faithfulness to Jesus, so that my faith in Jesus did not waver and irreplaceable by any earthly happiness.
Catholic indeed not the religion i choice, but become a Catholic is choice in my life. Because I believe God himself who has chosen me.
